Description
Membrane painting, also known as PVC membrane or membrane pressing, is a surface treatment that involves applying a thin PVC foil to a surface and then heating and vacuum-pressing it on. The result is a seamless look that can be matte, glossy, or wooden. Membrane doors are a type of door that are made by coating a PVC membrane on a wooden or MDF door. The PVC membrane is applied using high temperature and pressure, and the door can be patterned or embossed. Membrane doors are water-resistant and durable. Here are some things to consider about membrane doors: Maintenance: Membrane doors should be protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight. They should also be protected from steam and moisture generated while cooking. Hard chemicals like bleach, thinner, and salt spirit should not be used for cleaning. Comparison to laminate doors: Membrane doors and laminate doors are both distinct materials with unique properties and applications. Laminates are made of multiple layers of paper or resin covering MDF particle board, giving it a glossy and reflective texture. Ready-to-install doors: Some membrane doors are ready to install without any need for painting.
